"What is Lee's style of Qi Gong?" (Lee answers)
A while back, a student asked Lee what his style of Qi Gong was.
This was his response (we expanded on it below).
"There are three main styles of Qi Gong: martial, medical, and spiritual.
The style I teach is unique, but mostly medical Qi Gong. You practice movements and exercises to improve the flow of energy through the organs to achieve health and vitality."
Here's a bit more on how Lee developed his style:
When Lee was learning Qi Gong from different masters like Mantak Chia, he would learn a movement and then be told to "practice it 10,000 times."
Once he had practiced it "10,000 times," the teacher would say something like, "Very good, now do it 10,000 more times."
Lee knew that this style of learning wouldn't work for most people.
So he recreated the traditional approach to learning Qi Gong… while keeping the integrity of the ancient art intact and preserving its healing essence.
He threw away all of the mystical dogmas, complicated movements, and abstract concepts. He refined Qi Gong down to its very essence. And created his own style of Qi Gong that is easy to learn, easy to use, and practical.
The result is a set of movements that feel instinctive, effortless, and even fun!
Movements that naturally help your mind relax, your body open, and your Qi flow freely.
They're practical, easy, and effortless.
Qi Gong should be something you do to help you enjoy life.
Lee says you should look forward to practicing. And hopes that through his teaching, you relax, open up to life's infinite possibilities, and flow with the rhythm of nature.
