What can you expect? Initial visit

Your initial assessment will take about 60 minutes. You should bring your private health insurance card, physician referral if you have one, any test results, or special orders if you have them. You will fill out an intake form and give consent for your assessment. Your physiotherapist will take a detailed history, observe how you move and perform specific physical tests and measurements. From this assessment, the physiotherapist will establish a diagnosis and together, a treatment plan will be developed. Follow up Treatments

Be prepared to bring your sneakers and comfortable clothing to exercise in. Follow up treatments will take 30-60 minutes and will be booked as needed. We ask that our clients take an active role in their treatment to ensure their rehabilitation goals are met. You will be given education and handouts to carry over your program at home. If you have any questions please call (506) 466-3933 or e-mail admin@bonephysio.ca

www.internationalwomensday.com states International Women's Day has been around since 1911. This years theme is to . The website has a Missions drop down menu that is really great at informing how we can accelerate action for addressing the gender health gap, accelerating action for women in the workplace, sport, creatives, tech and women's empowerment.

I asked ChatGPT to write me a post describing what I do as a Physiotherapist, Yoga Teacher, Entrepreneur and Mom and how I feel. Here is what it gave me with the title "From the Burnt-Out Goddess Survival Club":

To every woman out here running on coffee, cortisol, and sheer willpower — this one's for you.

If you're still standing after this winter — you're basically a goddess.

If you're resting more than you're grinding — you're a goddess.

If you're crying in your car between clients and still showing up — guess what? Goddess.

If you're trying (even half-heartedly) to stretch, breathe, or not scroll your entire nervous system into oblivion — goddess.

If you're simply existing in this world that asks too much of women — GODDESS.

Strong bodies. Soft hearts.
Burnt out, but still glowing.

Happy International Women's Day to every woman figuring out how to take up space and still find rest.

We're not meant to do it all — we're meant to be whole.

🌟 A huge THANK YOU to Bone Physiotherapy for their generous donation of toiletries to Fundy Region Transition House! 🌟

A reminder that & I are collecting donations for our Valentines Day challenge in support of the Fundy Region Transition House

We are collecting donations of new and unused toiletries and feminine hygiene products.

The transition house offers a safe space to women & children fleeing domestic violence & unsafe living environments. Allowing them a place to heal.

They do so much good in our community and we are lucky to have them (even though we all wish a service like this wasn’t necessary as every woman & child deserves to always feel safe)!

We had over 450 items to donate the first year we ran this challenge. We would LOVE to meet that or beat it this year.

Today I’m issuing the challenge of making a donation to .b_anderson & challenge them to pass the challenge on.

Thank you to those who have already donated 🫶🏻

Ladies - do you know your v***a?

September is gynaecologic cancer awareness month.

Taking care of our health is a radical form of self love 💗

Regular self checks are a key part of staying on top of your v***a health and can help with early detection of v***a cancer.

How many of you do a self breast exam? (All of you should be raising your hand 🙋🏼‍♀️) Perfect! Time to add a self v***a check to that if you’re not already doing it.

Here’s how you can do it:
✨ find a comfortable spot: Choose a well lit area where you can see clearly.
✨ use a mirror: Sit or stand in front of a mirror to get a clear view of your v***a.
✨ look for changes: you are looking for changes in lumps, bumps, sores, colour (white patches), texture, loss of l***a (they start to fuse into one), cuts / tears, & cl****is getting buried under skin.
✨ feel for unusual areas: use clean fingers to feel for irregularities in the skin - texture, lumps & bumps.
✨ note any symptoms: discomfort, burning, itching, bleeding, skin changes (sores, lumps, bumps, mole changes), burning pain with urinating or pain in general.

You should check your v***a at different stages of your menstrual cycle, and do at least once a month.

You should be able to pick ✨her✨ out of a lineup of v***as.

If you notice anything unusual consult a healthcare professional.

Remember, early detection is crucial!

Not all changes mean cancer, but they can be a sign that something isn’t right which needs to be addressed by a healthcare provider.

Empower yourself & get to know your v***a - she’s beautiful and deserves to be cared for 🌸
