With summer now in full swing, you may find your schedule filling up a little too much.
You may need to give yourself some time to relax and recharge. This could be taking some time to read a book, to go for a walk, maybe have a dance party for 1 in your living room?
Whatever it is, be kind to yourself and allow yourself to do something that you want to do!

Wellness is more than physical and emotional. It includes spiritual, social, intellectual, environmental, occupational and financial wellbeing also.
If any single one of these areas if overlooked it can wreak havoc on your health and quality of life.

As we get into the warmer weather, I want to remind you: You are not in a race.
Each day we receive is a blessing. Take the time to enjoy the "little" things in life, for one day they won't seem little. When you are older, you will not regret taking time to thoroughly enjoy your life.
This does not mean everything needs to be slow to be enjoyed - but make sure that you are not just trying to be better than *anyone* else. Do better than you did yesterday. Then do it again tomorrow.

With the weather starting to turn to our favour - now is the time to get outside and get active. Whether you're walking around the block, going for a jog, taking care of some yard work or just sitting outside - take some time while you are in the outdoors to just be.
Breathe in the fresh air, take a few minutes to look at the trees, sky, grass, birds, animals, etc. Take your shoes off and feel the grass between your toes.
This will not only improve your mental well being, but could also give you a boost of that great sunshine - Vitamin D!

Today marks the official start of Spring, 2023!
Here are a few ideas to help you Spring into Wellness!
-Add new fruits and vegetables to your meal plans. (Fruits could replace your dessert options!)
-Get up a little earlier and exercise before starting your day. (Walk your dog, go for a jog, or do some morning stretches outside.)
-Eat a healthy breakfast and drink water with a bit of lemon squeezed into it to change up the flavour.
-Get enough sleep. (Most adults need 6-8 hours per night.)

Most of all, enjoy these days leading into summer. Spend time outdoors and meet some of your neighbours, go for longer walks with friends or by yourself if you prefer. Start planning your garden updates.
