: August wasn’t always the eighth month of the year.

In the old Roman calendar, August was called Sextilis, meaning “sixth” in Latin, because the year originally had just ten months! It wasn’t until around 700 BC, when January and February were added to the calendar, that August shifted into its now-familiar eighth spot.

Is it a problem if water gets in your ear? 💧👂

It’s actually pretty common and usually nothing to worry about.

But if water gets trapped, it can feel uncomfortable and sometimes lead to an infection.

Here’s how to help it drain safely:
✔️ Tilt your head and gently tug your earlobe
✔️ Use a hair dryer on a low, cool setting (from a safe distance!)
❌ Skip the cotton swabs — they can push water in deeper
