Well done!!

That’s a wrap on purses 2025!! We were able to distribute over 200 purses filled to the brim with $5 Tim cards, snacks, warm items (socks/mittens), toothbrushes, toothpaste, other toiletries, etc.

Thank you to all of our local businesses that volunteer their spaces for us to collect donations all month long. We are grateful for you!

Thank you to each and every person who donated to this cause, whether it be money, items, Tim cards, or all of the above! We truly live in a very generous community and this purse drive is successful every year because of each of you!

Lastly, thank you to the organizations that we donate these purses to. They are doing meaningful and honorable work day-in and day-out all year long. Thank you for the work you do and for making sure these purses get into the hands of deserving people.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!🎄❤️👜✨

❗️Local data shows the risk of Influenza is currently very high locally, especially for those who are more vulnerable to the illness, such as older adults, young children, and individuals with chronic health conditions.

In addition to getting a flu shot to protect against severe illness and hospitalization, Southwestern Public Health recommends the following infection prevention and control practices:

➡️Wash your hands often with soap and water or use hand sanitizer, especially after coughing, sneezing, or being in public spaces.
➡️Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or your elbow to prevent droplets from spreading.
➡️Stay home when you feel unwell to protect others and reduce transmission.
➡️Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces regularly, such as doorknobs, light switches, and mobile devices.
➡️Consider wearing a mask in crowded or enclosed spaces, particularly if you are feeling sick or are around people at higher risk of severe illness.
