Trade your morning coffee for this heart healthy beetroot latte (that doubles as a protein shake)! ☕️❤️
WHAT YOU NEED:
1/2 small beet, cooked and peeled
1 cup unsweetened coconut milk, or milk of choice
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp maple syrup, optional
HOW TO MAKE IT:
In blender, blend beet, milk, protein powder, cinnamon, ginger, and maple syrup, if using, until smooth.
Pour into small saucepan and gently heat over medium until steaming, but do not allow it to boil.
Using hand-held frother or whisk, stir mixture vigorously in pan to create foam. Alternatively, pour mixture into jar with tight lid and shake for 30 seconds until foam forms.
Pour into a mug and enjoy warm.
