🌌 A Rare Sky Spectacle Awaits! 🌌

On August 16, 2025, the Moon will glide directly in front of one of the night sky’s most beloved star clusters — the Pleiades, also known as the Seven Sisters — in a breathtaking lunar occultation. 🌙✨ This celestial hide-and-seek will briefly cause some of the cluster’s brightest stars to vanish behind the Moon’s edge before reappearing minutes later.

🔭 What Are the Pleiades?
Situated in the constellation Ta**us, the Pleiades are an open star cluster of over 800 stars, though only the brightest seven are easily seen with the naked eye. These hot, young blue stars, just about 100 million years old, lie roughly 444 light-years away and have inspired myths and stories across countless cultures.
