The FYI we all need on dates!

These powerful little fruits are packed with fiber and simple carbohydrates that hit the bloodstream quickly and give you a fast boost of energy.

One of my favourite ways to eat them is:
1 Medjool date + 1 teaspoon of grass-fed butter + a sprinkle of sea salt.

Adding fat helps slow the digestion of the carbohydrates, making this a much more blood sugar–friendly snack.

Great for toddlers who need sustained energy between meals
Great for adults when you need a quick pick-me-up

But don’t be poppin’ these baddies in your mouth or your blender without checking for black mould! We don’t want to be eating those ones 🙃

These ones are Medjool dates, which are my personal favourite. They’re bigger, juicier, softer, and way easier to cook or bake with than most other dates.

It’s not complicated, I promise.

Protein is your anchor, and it can come from real foods like:
🧀 Dry curd cottage cheese
🥣 Plain Greek yogurt
🍳 Eggs
🐟 Wild-caught salmon & sardines
🍗 Chicken breast & chicken thighs
🥩 Lean ground beef & grass-fed steak

Other items to add on your PCOS grocery list?
🍠Sweet potato, yam, potatoes
🥑 Avocado
🌰 H**p hearts, chia seeds, pepita seeds, sunflower seeds
✨Medjool dates
🍎 In season fruit
🫐 Wild blueberries
🫒 Extra virgin cold pressed olive oil, avocado oil
🧈 Grassfed butter or ghee

And remember, with PCOS, what matters most is that:
✨ you’re not skipping meals
✨ you’re not going too long without eating
✨ you’re eating enough protein + fiber
✨ you’re getting exercise in, staying away from drama and prioritizing sleep
✨ and ditching endocrine disrupters!
