🎯 Practice makes prepared.

This photo captures one of our RCMSAR crew members practicing a lifebuoy (or “Kisbee ring”) throw — a vital skill used to rescue someone in the water.

Ongoing training is a big part of what we do. From first aid to navigation to rescue techniques like this one, we’re always working to keep our skills sharp so we’re ready when it counts.

⚓ Engine trouble? We’ve got your back.
In this photo, our RCMSAR crew is preparing to tow a vessel that experienced motor trouble while out on the water. Whether it’s mechanical issues, a dead battery, or a vessel taking on water, we’re trained and ready to assist.

Remember — regular maintenance and carrying proper safety gear can help prevent emergencies before they happen.

🛟🚤 Safety first — every season.
Here’s two of our dedicated crew members performing a vessel safety check for local boaters. We offer these annual checks to help ensure your boat is equipped with the required safety gear — so you can enjoy the water with peace of mind.

☀️🌊 Rain or shine, we’re ready.
Our crew is trained and equipped to respond in all conditions — from blue skies to stormy seas. While we won’t say no to a calm, sunny day on the water, we’re always prepared when things get rough.

🚨 Every second counts in an emergency — and we're ready.
All members of our RCMSAR unit are trained and certified in first aid, including the use of AEDs (automated external defibrillators). We carry essential first aid equipment on board every mission, ensuring we're prepared to help when it matters most — whether it’s a minor injury or a life-threatening situation.
This photo shows one of our team members handing over the AED before heading out on a training exercise. Training, teamwork, and readiness are at the heart of what we do. 💪⚓

🌞🌊 Summer is here — and so are our PFD Loaner Stations!
We’re excited to launch another season of the "Kids Don’t Float" program, helping families stay safe on and around the water. Our Personal Flotation Devices (PFDs) are now available at designated stations — available for free, these PFDs are essential for keeping our youngest community members safe near the water. 💙🛟

We train like lives depend on it — because they do. 💪🚤
Our crew stays sharp with regular on-the-water training exercises, often teaming up with partners like the Canadian Coast Guard. Collaboration and practice ensure we're ready when the call comes in.
