I had the amazing opportunity to observe (and help with) treatments here in the Government Ayurveda Hospital in Hyderabad this trip.

The Panchkarma (detoxification and rejuvenation) ward was packed with people being treated for everything from paralysis to rheumatoid arthritis to delayed milestones (in little children).

People get free treatment here and are having remarkable success. What a boon for Indians below the poverty line! There are such centres all over India.

Thanks Anagha Divi and Soni Nigham Reddy for taking such good care of me and answering my many questions.

Hot off the press - A blog post on my favourite tips for not sinking into that winter heaviness we all know so well here in the Pacific Northwest.

(though the tips apply to all geographies that cool down in the winter)

I myself have experienced some SAD (seasonal affected disorder) and digestive issues in the last couple years. So I know how hard it can be!

And honestly speaking - sometimes one needs more than just these tips in my blog post.

Know that Ayurveda has some incredible solutions for finding vitality during this season.

Link to my post in my bio.

And I am here if you need any extra herbal health support this winter ❤️

This fall my focus is cultivating joy.
My fav hour of the week is when I hang out with this guy, Tim, for my riding-lesson.
I may not be a dog-or cat-person, but I am definitely a horse person! ❤️🐴

What if I told you that..
You can understand yourself so fully that the responses of your body and mind make sense?
What if I told you that..
It is possible for you to listen to your body and speak its language (without a translator)?
What if I told you that..
You can learn what's best for ‘you’ and take the right steps now to stay resilient for life?
Ayurveda figured out how to do this 4000 years ago.
Yup, no fad diets or fleeting superfood trends here!
Are you ready to learn the secret from an authentic Ayurvedic teacher?

Got that spring-time brain fog?
Feeling sluggish and beat but don’t know why?
Digestion acting up (bubbly feelings, strange BMs, erratic appetite)?
I feel it too.
I am seeing this pattern in a lot of people right now, and I have to say something.
Ayurveda named it 4000 years ago!
It’s time to reset/cleanse/rebalance- whatever you want to call it.
Just please don’t ignore it.
For those of you who resonate with Ayurveda and it’s methodology, think about joining someone’s spring reset.
Lots of Ayurvedic practitioners are offering it right now (myself included).
I implore you-
Lighten the load a bit.
Give your digestive system a boost.
Spring is a natural time for cleaning out the gunk. Don’t miss it.
And I know as we get older, these things get worse - and we feel it most at certain times of the year (like now, spring time).
Plus if you’re had covid (who hasn’t right?) and are suspecting some mysterious long-term effects, this will help.
Talk to me if you need more direction. I am here (staying warm by my fireplace).
❤️

At the risk of sounding like an island kook, I gotta say there was magic in the air today.
Maybe its just spring…
Then you should join my spring digestive reset!
Look, I am bad at insatagram. Just look at my bio and find the link. It’s gonna be good. I promise.

Some days I am just plain tired. I don’t have vibe (and I feel like an imposter being a health coach at all!). If this is you today- I feel you!
Luckily I know how to be kind to myself. I have diligently cultivated self-compassion over the years. I can hold myself with love, and (mostly) manage not to judge myself harshly.
More than that, I have a daily rhythm that sustains me. I have a routine of meditation, exercise, meal-planning, and deep sleep. It holds me on hard days and stabilizes my mind when it doubts.
This is what I teach. How daily rhythm and automated habits create a scaffolding that hold us securely through rough times.
I start on a new journey with a new group of students on November 1st. If you are ready to go deeper in your self-care, and want accountability for yourself as you go, then talk to me.

It's like there is this secret garden.
You are standing outside it, in the rain, but you can’t find the key to go inside.
You can sense its perfection - japanese maple trees, blossoming rose bushes, butterflies bathed in gentle sunlight...a little bench just for you.
But where is that key?
My health felt like that for a long time.
Like I was trapped outside this perfect garden, and the secret joys were not available to me. People gave me an umbrella for the rain, or told me to just keep walking; that there was no key to that door.
But I didn't believe it.
I had a sense that there is something better possible, but no idea how to bridge the separation, access that place.
That's when I found Ayurveda. That was my key.
All of a sudden, I understood my body, my mind, my inner workings. I tapped into my innate body-wisdom, and was guided to the right tools and practices to help my entire being thrive.
I had found the key and entered. And slowly, over time, I awakened the secret garden inside me. I nurtured each little sapling until it flourished.
And one day I found myself sitting there on that bench. The sun was streaming down on me; the bees gently buzzing in and out of the foxgloves and dahlias.
I just want you to know that this is possible for you. If Ayurveda is piquing your interest, and you are curious about how to access your next (deeper) level of wellbeing and excellence, then talk to me.
I start with a new group of students on a journey through living Ayurveda (and awakening the secret garden within) on November 1st.
Your first chat with me is complimentary. Let’s talk!
