Greenwoods Eldercare - Salt Spring Island, BC We also run several community programs such as Meals on Wheels, a bathing program and a day program. All donations over $25 receive a tax receipt.

The Greenwoods Foundation conducts fundraising activities designed to increase the care, comfort, and quality of living of those who live in the Greenwoods Eldercare residential care facilities. The Greenwoods Eldercare Society (Greenwoods long-term care and Braehaven assisted living facilities) and The Greenwoods Foundation are non-profit charities created to serve vulnerable citizens who need care, comfort and medical assistance. The Foundation holds several fundraising events during the year to raise money to support the needs of the Society. In particular, there is an annual Garden Bench raffle held during August and September each year, culminating in the bench draw on the day following the Salt Spring Fall Fair. There is also an annual donation appeal that takes place in November and December of each year. Greenwoods relies on community support to continue to improve the quality of living for the Residents of the two facilities.
