This past year has challenged many of us in so many ways.
Digging deep to find that last bit of energy or stamina to keep going...
Burnout is REAL.
And the long term impact of burnout, exhaustion and depletion may take YEARS to recover from.
Deep down, we know we need to take care of ourselves in order to care for others.
However, taking care of ourselves is easier said than done.
Health, vitality, well-being and caring for yourself, is ESSENTIAL.
Given the right conditions, we have the ability to live with more joy, heal, recover, grow and thrive!
Self care.
This buzz word has been known as a simple act of pampering one’s self.
In our experience, self care actually comes in layers.
1. The surface: 💅🍷🛁💆🏼♀️
This layer of self care feels good in the moment, can give a sense of relaxation and provides us with a ‘pause’ in our busy lives.
But, the lasting effects of this layer are minimal and can cause us to avoid the deeper layers of self care.
2. The deep dive: 🥰🥗🌪😢🍇
This layer is built on self compassion , setting boundaries, nurturing your mind-body-soul and feeling into your emotions.
Although going to the depths of this level of self care can drain more energy, open up difficult conversations and you may feel as if you’re on your own.
3. The core: ☀️🌿💫❤️
This layer of self care taps into the infinite energy source within you. Endless and always available.
At this depth, we value self, we know we are worthy of love and experience our truest essence.
Each layer of self care brings its own gifts and challenges.
But exploring each layer is necessary to battle burnout and experience a life filled with joy, ease, alignment, flow, connection, love, clarity, compassion and vitality!
