Tennis Elbow
🔹 Lateral epicondylitis, also known as tennis elbow, is a common condition, characterized by pain at the outside of the elbow.
🔹 Tennis elbow gets its name from tennis players repeatedly using a backhand swing, usually with poor technique and irritating the extensor tendons. Tennis elbow can occur in anyone and is typically seen in people who work in industries that require repetitive motions.
🔹 The main cause of tennis elbow is overuse as repetitive contraction of the muscles can lead to tearing of the common extensor tendon.
🔹 Tennis elbow can be treated conservatively with soft tissue work, stretching and exercise.
