It can be so strange being aware that you are shifting timelines. Often, things happen but do not happen. Many arguments of me calling facts and specifics.. but my man does not.. Even at work, I find myself walking into a WHOLE new work lol haha trippppy.

“Once when I was a teenager, my father and I were standing in line to buy tickets for the circus.

Finally, there was only one other family between us and the ticket counter. This family made a big impression on me.
There were eight children, all probably under the age of 12. The way they were dressed, you could tell they didn't have a lot of money, but their clothes were neat and clean.

The children were well-behaved, all of them standing in line, two-by-two behind their parents, holding hands. They were excitedly jabbering about the clowns, animals, and all the acts they would be seeing that night. By their excitement you could sense they had never been to the circus before. It would be a highlight of their lives.

The father and mother were at the head of the pack standing proud as could be. The mother was holding her husband's hand, looking up at him as if to say, "You're my knight in shining armor." He was smiling and enjoying seeing his family happy.

The ticket lady asked the man how many tickets he wanted? He proudly responded, "I'd like to buy eight children's tickets and two adult tickets, so I can take my family to the circus." The ticket lady stated the price.

The man's wife let go of his hand, her head dropped, the man's lip began to quiver. Then he leaned a little closer and asked, "How much did you say?" The ticket lady again stated the price.

The man didn't have enough money. How was he supposed to turn and tell his eight kids that he didn't have enough money to take them to the circus?

Seeing what was going on, my dad reached into his pocket, pulled out a $20 bill, and then dropped it on the ground. (We were not wealthy in any sense of the word!) My father bent down, picked up the $20 bill, tapped the man on the shoulder and said, "Excuse me, sir, this fell out of your pocket."

The man understood what was going on. He wasn't begging for a handout but certainly appreciated the help in a desperate, heartbreaking and embarrassing situation.

He looked straight into my dad's eyes, took my dad's hand in both of his, squeezed tightly onto the $20 bill, and with his lip quivering and a tear streaming down his cheek, he replied; "Thank you, thank you, sir. This really means a lot to me and my family."

My father and I went back to our car and drove home. The $20 that my dad gave away is what we were going to buy our own tickets with.

Although we didn't get to see the circus that night, we both felt a joy inside us that was far greater than seeing the circus could ever provide.

That day I learned the value to give.

The giver is bigger than the receiver. If you want to be large, larger than life, learn to Give. Love has nothing to do with what you are expecting to get - only with what you are expecting to give - which is everything.

The importance of giving, blessing others can never be over emphasized because there's always joy in giving. Learn to make someone happy by acts of giving.”

Many of our new followers may not know anything about me...heck, my own clients know me, and still aren't sure how to describe me. I always tell them to call me Jessica Smalls. This I am.

The truth is, most of my clients call because I was recommended and they felt drawn to work with me. It's time for me to share a bit about me and I will continue this week with sharing how I help people at Spirit Academy ♡

If you have a specific question, in this thread and I will do my best to answer ♡ I don't always know what others want to know about me....so I will cover my basics ♡

I was born in Ontario, Canada and moved to a rural community at 6 months old with my parents and older sister, soon the be joined by my younger sister. I came into this world with strawberry blonde hair, eyes that see the other side, a body that could easily feel others (when you hurt I feel it too), and an ability to understand energy clearly.

I left home at 19, and moved to various cities in Ontario while I was learning and working on developing my foundation of understanding how to be a helper in this world. This was my first remembered "thing" I wished to be when I was small...a Helper. Shortly after I added doctor to the "thing" I wished to be.

My studies taught me about observing people, first from a developmental psychology perspective, then from a learning-educating perspective. My interests took me to child and youth work in a school setting, then to multiple associations for Community Living. First as a front line staff and finally as manager of independent living supports. After this I began teaching for the school board anything from grades k-6, French & Special Education, which was my favourite area of teaching.

I was introduced to Reiki during this time and began studying it after feeling how light I could feel after 10 minutes of Reiki rays, as my friend called them. I got involved with herbs, energy healing and biofeedback technology and spent the following years supporting myself, husband, kids and extended family with health and wellbeing with incredible results!

1 year later I was offered a Lakota Sioux Shamanic Apprenticeship from a Teacher I was learning about myself with. I felt like I was home!! This path was wonderful, simple, spoke to my heart and damn hard to walk. I was gradually introduced to the 17 Spirit Guides that I work with. I am now entering my 13th year of helping others and healing myself ♡

I have personally healed degenerative osteoarthritis, infertility, cancer, dyspepsia, imbalanced hormones and chronic depression that lead to suicidal tendencies.

I have birthed 5 spirits into the world, 2 of which chose to be parented from the spirit side. I call them my dreamtime babies, they have names and I celebrate them. My 3 children here have been raised to understand their innate magic, their spirit, their values and have always been encouraged to create their own economies, just as I have. They are my greatest teachers and spiritually are all older than I am ♡

These days I embody the spirit I have grown into over my 38 years here.

~an award winning author
~a songwriter
~a story teller
~a teacher
~an entrepreneur
~a helper
~a channel

I have been told I need to choose one area and focus on that. Pffft!! I have decided that I am a specialty all on my own, with so many learned and innate skills and I am 100% AOK with that. Besides it allows me to be the doctoring helper I am today ♡
