Truth is, life can take you down some rough paths and it doesn't have to define you regardless if that path led you to cover up the pain with addiction (substances, gambling, s*x, shopping etc). At this exact moment, what matters most is that YOU ARE ALIVE. That alone is something to be proud of because it shows your ability to overcome hardships. You are a SURVIVOR!!!!

Here at NGHLW we pride ourselves on our compassion to support First Nation women overcome addiction through evidence-based and client-centered practices. We're here to help shape new ways of thinking and promote growth and healing. We strongly believe that trauma is a direct link to poor responses in life which led to addiction. We are here to walk beside individuals as they find the strength to confidently redefine themselves in a positive light.

Your past doesn't define you but it does help mould you into the person your meant to be!!!
