We’re looking for a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (RN-EC) to join our team!

In this role, you’ll provide comprehensive primary care and contribute to the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of health programs and services for individuals, families, and the community. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you’ll work both independently—delivering the full scope of primary and outreach care—and collaboratively, by consulting with other clinical team members when needed.

Today is September 30th, Orange Shirt Day and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

This is a day to remember the children who never returned home and honour those who survived and were forever impacted by the residential school system.

Orange Shirt Day is not a holiday. It is a day to reflect on the history of this country, acknowledge the injustices inflicted upon First Nations, Inuit and Métis families for generations, and to envision a future where truth is understood and reconciliation is more than just a word.

Start your journey towards reconciliation by acknowledging the truth. If you live in Ottawa, we encourage you to attend the gathering in person. If you can’t join us, we invite you to tune in live to the live broadcast of Remembering the Children on APTN, CBC/Radio-Canada, the NCTR YouTube channel, or other broadcast partners.

Together, we remember. Together, we can take truth to action.

Today, on September 30th, we honour the Survivors of residential schools, their families, and the children who never made it home.

This day calls us to reflect on the ongoing impacts of colonization and the importance of listening, learning, and taking meaningful action toward reconciliation.

As a Community Health Centre, we are committed to walking alongside Indigenous peoples, supporting healing, and creating safer, more inclusive spaces for all.

We invite everyone to wear orange today, take time to learn, and engage in conversations about truth and reconciliation in your homes, schools, and communities.

As we conclude Truth and Reconciliation Week 2025, join us for the final day!

How can we confront and counter residential school denialism?

Everyone’s invited for today’s final FREE lunch and learn at 12:00 PM CDT to actively confront one of the largest identified barriers to reconciliation: residential school denialism. Dr. Niigaanwewidam Sinclair and residential school Survivor Eugene Arcand will dismantle the most frequent and inaccurate denialist arguments in a conversation moderated by Dr. Sean Carleton.

Tout le monde est invité à participer au dîner-causerie GRATUIT aujourd’hui à midi (HAC) afin de s’attaquer activement à l’un des plus grands obstacles à la réconciliation : le déni des pensionnats autochtones. Le professeur Niigaanwewidam Sinclair et Eugene Arcand, survivant des pensionnats, démantèleront les arguments négationnistes les plus fréquents et les plus inexacts dans le cadre d’un entretien animé par la professeure Sean Carleton.
