Today on World Cancer Day, we are proud to share a milestone made possible by the power of community.

Thanks to generous donations, sponsorships, special events, and the Dream Home Lottery, Bluewater Health Foundation has officially reached the $5 million fundraising goal in support of Bluewater Health’s Cancer Care Clinic.

A heartfelt thank you to the Judith & Norman Alix Foundation for their extraordinary $500,000 gift, which marked the moment this collective effort officially reached the $5 million goal.

On World Cancer Day, we celebrate what can be accomplished when a community comes together in support of patients, families, and hope. 💙

Tiffany was nominated for the compassion, dignity, and kindness she shows to patients and families, even in the most challenging moments.

While caring for a patient, Tiffany’s respectful and patient-centred approach stood out to a visiting loved one, who shared:

“I observed Tiffany interacting in a way that was both compassionate and deeply respectful. She treated my friend with dignity, patience, and warmth, and extended that same care to family members by offering reassurance and listening with empathy.

What struck me most was that this happened at the very end of Tiffany’s 12-hour shift. Despite surely being tired, she remained attentive, cheerful, and kind, helping ensure comfort, safety, and a sense of calm with a thoughtful presence.”

These classes are deeply important to us and to our community and we couldn’t do them without you.

For January & February, all Karma Class donations will be going to Ryan’s House, a specialized addiction recovery support facility in our community.

The word Karma comes from the Sanskrit term meaning action or deeds.
Karma Yoga is the path of selfless action, serving others without expectation of reward.

Karma Classes are about giving back, reaching out, and creating meaningful change in our community. These classes are open to everyone and are donation-based, with 100% of funds going directly to non-profit organizations or reinvested into local charitable initiatives.

We are incredibly grateful for the ongoing love and support from our teachers, students, and community who make these classes possible.
