On International Women’s Day, I’m thinking about the strength it takes to simply be a woman in this world.

Strength doesn’t always look loud or fearless. Sometimes it looks like setting a boundary for the first time. Sometimes it looks like resting instead of pushing through. Sometimes it’s letting yourself feel the emotions you were taught to hide.

In therapy, I see women doing brave work every day, unlearning shame, reconnecting with their voices, and choosing themselves in ways they may never have been allowed to before.

Healing is not selfish. Taking up space is not too much. Your needs are not a burden.

Today is a reminder: you deserve safety, compassion, and a life that feels like your own.

To all the women doing the quiet, powerful work of healing…. I see you. 💛

Exciting news 🤍

I’m now offering couples counselling.

Relationships can hold so much love — and also so much hurt. Whether you’re feeling stuck in the same arguments, navigating a rupture, rebuilding trust, or simply wanting to feel closer again, therapy can be a space to slow down and really hear each other.

My goal is to create a room where both partners feel safe, understood, and supported.

If you’re ready to strengthen your relationship or work through what’s been weighing on it, I’d be honoured to walk alongside you.

Feeling so grateful 💛

A huge thank you to for welcoming me as I begin my yoga teacher journey. It means so much to be supported in these first steps of my teaching career.

And to everyone who came out to practice with me, thank you for showing up, sharing your energy, and trusting me to guide your practice. Your support made this experience incredibly special.

I’m really excited to continue interweaving yoga into my life as a therapist and to see all the meaningful places this path will lead ✨

Outside the therapy room 🤍

I’m a big foodie, especially when someone else is cooking. I love trying new places, lingering over meals, and fully believing food is one of life’s simple joys.

I need some form of movement every day, otherwise my body lets me know 😅 running, yoga, anything really, I can’t sit still for too long.

I will always order a chia latte if it’s on the menu (no hesitation).

And when I can plan my ideal morning, it is slow, quiet, and obligation-free, just space to ease into the day.

These little things help keep me grounded, present, and human, inside and outside the therapy room.

Checking your energy isn’t about fixing or judging yourself — it’s about noticing. Becoming aware of whether you’re pushing, people-pleasing, shutting down, or resting gives your nervous system information, not a demand for change. Awareness creates choice, and sometimes the most supportive thing you can do is simply name where you are today.

✨ NEW DBT SKILLS GROUP FOR TEENS & CAREGIVERS ✨

We’re so excited to be launching a Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills group for teens and their parents/caregivers, co-facilitated by myself & Katey Coffey 💛

Being a teen is hard — emotions feel big, relationships can be overwhelming, and coping skills don’t always come naturally. DBT helps teens build practical, evidence-based skills to better understand their emotions, communicate their needs, and cope during stressful moments.

👥 This group is designed to support BOTH teens and caregivers, because lasting change happens when everyone has the tools and a shared language.

✨ Skills we’ll cover include:
• Emotional regulation
• Distress tolerance
• Mindfulness
• Healthy communication & boundaries

Whether your teen is struggling with big emotions, anxiety, impulsivity, or just needs extra support navigating this stage of life — this group offers a structured, compassionate space to learn and grow together.

✨ Self-Compassion Journal Prompts

1. What is one emotion I felt today, and how can I meet it with kindness?
2. If I spoke to myself like a friend, what would I say right now?
3. What is one need I’ve been ignoring that deserves attention?
4. Where did I show strength today, even in small ways?
5. What is something I can let go of — even just a little — to ease my load?

Some pain doesn’t leave bruises or scars, it shows up in quieter ways. In the way your body tenses before you even know why. In the exhaustion that feels heavier than sleep can fix. In the moments you withdraw, not because you don’t care, but because you’re protecting yourself.

Emotional and psychological wounds are just as real as physical ones. Healing them takes time, gentleness, and support. You don’t have to prove your pain for it to matter.

If you’re carrying invisible wounds, know that your story deserves space, and your healing deserves care.
