Gabriel's Village - Senior Companions and Home Care

It takes a village. Not to only raise babies, but in all stages of life. So we're building one. Our goal is to build the village that's so needed by many.

No one should ever have to feel alone. We are connecting stay at home, single parents, and their babies with elders that are ready for some extra love and companionship! Babies bring a joy that nothing else can offer, and the stories and wisdom from an elder is beyond anything a book can give. We want to bring those two together and see the love flourish. Services offered include:

Senior companionship - We bring the toys! Home care - Cleaning, cooking, laundry
Errands/activities - Groceries, appointments, walks, outings if you're up to tagging along with toddlers! Home maintenance - lawn care and snow removal (no need to hire out!)

It is a different approach to home care, we understand. The benefits for all involved is why we feel this is an amazing route to take for you or a loved one. We are moms or dads who want to teach our children virtues, all the while showing them the power of community. We have the time to care, send us a message and meet someone that wants you as much as you want them

Good morning and happy Saturday! We hope everyone has been able to enjoy the beautiful sunshine we’ve been having lately 🌞

We have been getting lots of inquiries lately, we are so happy you’re interested in us! Here are a couple tidbits about Gabriel’s Village and the services we offer that may help keep your decision making as smooth as possible:

- we offer just about everything you could imagine in order to stay safe and comfy at home vs moving to a facility at this time (or ever!)
- all of our caregivers have clean record checks, first aide, CCA certified at least, and amazing personalities as we value the feeling of family.. once you join Gabriel’s Village, you’re part of our family
- we offer full time, part time, and casual care, and are always understanding that needs change as we go and are open and willing to make any adjustments as needed
- we offer a ‘build your own package’ type of care.. no ones needs are the same so we will sit with you and your loved ones and make a plan designed specifically for you and your needs
- currently we service Saskatoon and area, but if you’re interested in our services and outside our current locations, feel free to reach out! We know the need is out there and have every intention of growing as much as needed. No one should feel alone or unsure as to their ability to stay home as long as they’d like.. we’re here to help make your desires stay relevant ☺️

Happy Saturday! Sounds like we’re in for a few nice days coming up.. such a tease but we’ll take it over here! Anything to help break up this long winter is a plus in our books!

With the nicer weather, we’re all getting ready to break out of the house! If you’re thinking you’d like to break out too, feel free to message us! We’re ready for walks, or catching up on those errands after the last storm and cold snap.

Let us know how we can help! We’ve recently added an aesthetician to our schedule to help out with those hands and feet! Whether it’s just a trim or a good soak and scrub, she’d be happy to bring a little pamper to you. Feel free to message for more details!

How is everyone holding up now that the hustle and bustle of the holidays is settling? We hope everyone was able to enjoy some family time ❤️

We’re starting the New Year strong! We have more availability for visits, in home care, and cleaning! With the rise in people speaking out about being alone we’re ramping up. There is no reason anyone should feel left out or segregated.

A lot of families and individuals are hurting right now, come join our village and let us bring a little love and laughter, no matter who you are. There’s always room for you ☺️

Send a message today, even if you’re unsure if this is a route you’d like to take, our village is large and continuing to grow, we may even have someone more up your alley! Whether it be another senior for companionship, maybe someone who’d still love to come help and doesn’t have a little or maybe their littles have started back to classes, or even if it’s just help getting your errands done and grocery runs with this fabulous snow we’ve recently received! We’ll never say no, we are building a village to include everyone and there will never be a cap on how many people can join ❤️

Merry Christmas!🎄 Do you know someone that may not have any visitors this holiday? Or someone who may enjoy a few extra chuckles? Let us know! We are coming around for a few hours over the holidays, especially with the cold and being cooped up indoors, we’re always looking for some indoor activities to keep our young AND old busy ☺️ No one should be alone this holiday, we even have a couple families that would love to visit on Christmas or Boxing Day as they start their own family traditions of helping others and showing their littles it doesn’t matter who you are, everyone needs a little love some times ☺️❤️ Feel free to reach out! We’d love to spend a little time with you 🥰

Did you know we can come for short terms as well! Feeling a little lonely with the coming holidays and want a baking buddy (and you don’t have to clean up after, momma’s got that covered) or a reading and coco buddy? Our littles love all sorts of activities, and we can do just that! If you’re looking for something that is just a part time get together we can work out when’s best for you! We don’t involve term length or specify an amount of time that must be used per week, we want it to be stress free and comfortable ☺️ We can visit and embrace all those extras kisses and snuggles you’ve had pent up all year long!

We’re open books, our goal is to bring Family back to you. Whatever it is you may feel we could help with, we probably can! Help around the house, folding the dreaded laundry, clearing/icing walk ways and driveways, healthy and hearty meals (and snacks!) to ward off the cold, and a lot of the time we’ll do the cooking/baking right with you!

The snow has arrived for some of us! I know my little is very excited and has been carrying his shovel around the house for 2 days now! (he is only 1 which makes it even funnier to watch ☺️) We do snow clearing for decks, walkways, small driveways, and can even stop by to brush and de-ice your cars for you! We can help you with ordering groceries and pick ups, and even keep you company while we begin the long Sask winter! We are accepting new clients! If you are just starting to look for a little help, whether it’s cleaning, ordering groceries and picking up, little extra motivation to get out for that walk, or have been receiving home care but may have been affected by the new regulations, let us know! We come for anywhere between 2-5 hours (naps permitting!) and can be available 7 days a week. Call, email, or message what you are looking for and we can set up a meet with your new little smile maker and helper ❤️

An article was posted from a senior in our area, speaking on how they felt they have not felt heard, their wishes are being ignored, locked in their rooms, denied social interactions. It broke our hearts to read. This is why we started Gabriel’s Village. We want to hear you. We want to be with you. We will come. We will help you in any way possible because no one should ever feel locked away, ignored. We all need love, and we will give it to anyone who wants it, even in these troubled times. We need your smiles as much as you need ours. You are more than welcome to ask us, but we will not ask you. Love is more important to us ❤️

Welcome! We are really excited to be starting up with the growing demand for private in-home care. We have available families looking to become a part of yours, whether it be just companionship, a little help around home, or with the coming winter, some little boot prints and laughter outside in the snow to brighten the cold days ahead, we have someone that would love to be there for you.
