We’re proud to announce that Elevate Counselling & Therapy is now a provider for the City of Saskatoon EFAP.

City employees and eligible family members can access counselling services at no cost through EFAP. We currently have availability and offer fast responses, easy booking, and a supportive, experienced team.

Getting support shouldn’t be complicated—and with Elevate, it isn’t.

We believe in being an inclusive community committed to serving its clients. We view each person as a unique individual with their own set of beliefs and ideologies and are open and respectful to all backgrounds and lifestyles.

Build Better Business Habits This January!

We’re kicking off the year by focusing on strong We’re excited to team up with CCDF’s Indigenous Women Entrepreneurship (IWE) Program this January for a Habit Building Workshop for Métis women entrepreneurs—focused on healthy habits that support long-term personal and business success.

4-week virtual workshop facilitated by Kenny Bodvarson (Métis entrepreneur, owner/operator of Elevate Counselling). We’ll combine practical habit-building tools with Métis-informed grounding—values, relationships, community, and story-based reflection—to help you reduce overwhelm and build consistency without burnout.

We want to share a quick update about direct billing at Elevate Counselling & Therapy.

Lately, many insurance providers have made changes to their systems that have led to more delays and inconsistencies with direct billing (for example: portal issues, slower processing, and claims that don’t go through as expected). To keep our focus where it matters most—supporting you in your care—we’ll be temporarily pausing direct billing.

What’s changing
• Direct billing will be paused until February 2026.
• During this time, payment will be due at the time of your appointment.

What stays the same
• Your coverage and eligibility with your insurer does not change.
• You will still receive a detailed receipt after each session, which you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement.

What you need to do
• Pay for your session at the time of service.
• Submit your receipt to your insurance provide through their app, online portal, or email process (whatever your provider uses).

We’re here to help

If you’re unsure how to submit your receipt, or want to confirm it includes everything your insurer needs, our team is happy to help.

If this change creates a barrier for you, please reach out. We’ll do our best to talk through options and supports where possible.

Thank you for your understanding. Direct billing will resume in February 2026, and we’ll send a reminder when it’s back in place.

At Elevate, we believe reflection matters. This past year held challenges, growth, and moments of real courage. We’re grateful for the trust you place in us and remain committed to care that is grounded, relational, and human.

We had the opportunity to teach Mental Health First Aid at Batoche, and it is so important and close to our hearts to be able to support people on their journey of mental wellbeing, especially in doing this work for the Métis community.

It was an honour to deliver this training at Batoche. It’s meaningful to think that, more than 140 years ago, my family crossed this area on their way to their
new home — and on this visit, we even had the chance to see a bison.

Thank you again for being part of this experience, and I hope to see you at the next training.
