This is the rhythm of life.
Not rigid scheduling. Not optimization. Rhythm.

In the beginning, human babies borrow the nervous system, timing, heartbeat, warmth, hormones, breath, and circadian cues of the mother. Their biology is literally organizing itself through relationship.

Every feed is more than calories.

It is light information. Safety information. Time information.
Breastfeeding helps entrain the infant nervous system, metabolism, sleep-wake cycles, immune function, temperature regulation, and hormonal rhythms over time. The pattern changes because the baby changes. Biology adapts through connection.

You can actually see the transition here: from constant early feeding…
to more organized rhythms…
to the child eventually keeping only morning and evening feeds anchored into daily life.

This is why preconception, pregnancy, postpartum, and early motherhood should be treated as sacred windows of human development. These are foundational periods where lifelong rhythms are being established.

Human babies do not arrive with fully formed biological timing.

At first, they co-regulate through you!!

And honestly… this graph may be one of the best visual representations of matrescence I’ve seen in a long time.

3:14 a.m.

There’s a liminal space on the prairies that many people never experience.

The threshold where darkness begins softening into dawn.
The moment the horizon starts carrying light again.
The seasonal shift becoming visible in real time.

In deep winter, night stretches long across the northern plains. Then slowly, dawn begins arriving earlier. By summer, true darkness barely lingers here at all. Twilight folds itself into sunrise only hours after sunset.

New mothers know this space.
People who live close to the land know this space.
Anyone who regularly witnesses the sky before the world wakes understands there is something profound happening there.

Watching the horizon breathe itself awake in complete silence can feel overwhelming in the most beautiful way.

The body responds to it, my nervous system responds to it. Its ancient inside us responds to this!

Standing in real darkness long enough to witness the return of light changes your perception. The colours sharpen. The air feels alive. Time slows down enough for the world to reveal itself differently.

It can feel deeply psychedelic in the truest sense of the word.

Not through escape.
Through presence.

Many people move through life surrounded by constant light, noise, notifications, and stimulation. The nervous system rarely gets the contrast needed to fully experience dawn as an event.

Out here on the prairie, you can still find that threshold if you go looking for it.

Hope to see you Sunday at Poplar Bluffs.

A lot of people find me through Instagram first and don’t always realize how many layers this work has grown into over the years.

Some women come in through bodywork and stay for the education. Others begin with a class, a Substack essay, or a seasonal gathering. The Vault has quietly become a place where people listen to workshops while driving prairie highways, cooking dinner, resting, walking, or slowly changing the way they relate to their bodies over time.

The ecosystem was built this way intentionally.

Different seasons of life call for different levels of support, depth, and connection.

Right now the work moves through:
✨️Instagram and free education
✨️Substack writings
🌿live classes and workshops
⚡️the Wise Woman Vault
🍄seasonal group spaces
🙌🏼1:1 support
👀retreats and restoration experiences

Everything is connected, while still leaving room to enter in a way that feels sustainable and grounded for your life.

Especially here on the prairies, where the body is constantly responding to light, season, nervous system load, nourishment, weather, and rhythm.

Just a modern day wise woman - doing her thing😘

What you need:

A body.
An open mind.
Curiosity.
About 60 minutes a week.
Devotion helps more than motivation.

Most people already have everything else at home.

Rolled up socks.
A tennis ball.
A kid’s ball.
A frozen water bottle.
A rolled blanket or towel.
A foam roller if you already own one.

This work was designed to be accessible.

Barefoot contact with the earth is encouraged whenever possible. Prairie summer gives us a short window each year where the body naturally wants more movement, more sunlight, more interaction with the environment.

Outside is ideal for the full experience.

Morning, evening, sunset, under the trees, in the grass — all count. Midday sun can be added gradually as your system adapts.

The goal is relationship with your body, not performance.

The prairies have their own rhythm.

Long winters. Dry air. Dramatic shifts in light across the year.

Your body responds to where you live whether you notice it or not.

Most women were never taught how to care for themselves in this environment.

I care deeply about helping prairie women feel well where they actually live.

Feeling good in your body opens something most women haven’t experienced yet.

The idea that we exercise to burn calories is outdated, the body is doing something far more intelligent.

Movement creates force through tissue, and that force travels through fascia, fluid, and the entire system. This is how the body communicates, adapts, and builds energy.

Fascia responds to load, hydration, and rhythm. When it moves well, the whole system moves well.

Inside this work, we use self myofascial release, slow intentional movement, meridian pathways, and structural stacking to support how the body naturally organizes in gravity.

Over time, this creates better force distribution, improved coordination, and a noticeable shift in how movement feels day to day.

The series follows a clear progression through the body—from breath and rib cage into feet, pelvis, spine, and full integration

🌿 10-week Rolf Yoga series
🌿 Starts May 19

If you’re ready to work with your body in a more intelligent way, this is a good place to begin.

Why would we be moving…
in the middle of summer…
in the heat…
under the strongest sun of the year?

Because that’s when your body is actually designed to build energy.
Not conserve it energy, or hiide from it.
Def nor sitting inside under artificial light.
Build it!

Movement in this season isn’t about burning calories.
It’s about: – interacting with light
– charging your system
– moving fluid, fascia, and electrons
– and syncing your body to the environment it was built for

Your body doesn’t run on willpower.
It runs on: light → water → structure → movement → energy

And when those line up?
You feel it.
This is why we move outside and why we don’t rush it.
Hello! This is why animals flock here in the summer mass migration to the prairies!
And why it’s built as a progression.

Most people don’t need more stretching.
They need their body reorganized.
That’s where this comes in.

Rolf Yoga is a 10-week movement series built differently.
It’s based on: – the Rolfing 10-series (how your body organizes in gravity)

– self-guided myofascial release (yes… the balls, the spots you’ve been avoiding)
– functional yoga (movement that actually transfers to real life)
– Traditional Chinese Medicine meridian lines woven through the body
– and timing your biology through light + rhythm (because your body isn’t separate from nature)

This isn’t about pushing harder.
It’s about: – freeing your breath

– opening your fascia
– changing how force moves through your body
– and actually feeling different when you walk out
Week by week, we work through the body: feet → hips → core → spine → shoulders → full integration
(yes… like a true 10-series)

If you’ve ever thought: “my body feels tight no matter what I do”
This is probably what you’ve been missing.

🌿 Starts May 19

They said everything looked fine.
But her body said: not yet.

Three miscarriages back to back.
&
No real answers.

What I saw?
A body still clearing.
Thick, yellow cervical mucus.
Old blood patterns.
A uterus that hadn’t fully completed the cycle.

After miscarriage, the body doesn’t always clear in one bleed.
Sometimes it takes time & it needs support.

She owed down & supported her cycles.
She did a steam protocol
And then this.

Old, dense tissue her body was ready to release.
You don’t implant new life into old terrain.

By June—she conceived & is now holding her healthy baby.

Fertility isn’t just hormones.
It’s environment. It’s timing. It’s readiness.

I believe in steaming. Thanks
And I believe in listening to the body.

👉 If this speaks to you, work with me.

Thanks to the woman for WANTING me to share her story so we all can learn - so grateful 🩸
