What would happen if you changed NOTHING about your life?

Look 6 months, 1, 5, 10 years down the road… If everything were the same- your relationships, your job, your emotional and mental states- Would you be content? Would you want that life?

Now I know the answer for SO many of us is some sort of a hell no…

🔥We WANT change. We DESIRE growth and healing and transformation. 🔥

So then why do we feel so stuck?

Here’s one thing I know:

✨✨Our thoughts create our results✨✨
& our results always mirror back our thoughts.✨✨

Sound like woo-woo hippie bu****it?
Fair enough. I used to think so too. But hear me out…

The brain is a powerful tool. It analyzes and processes and makes inferences.
At the very basic level, all our brain is ever trying to do is keep us safe.
Why is this a problem?
Because our brain likes for us to be comfortable and safe NOW. Which a lot of the time can look like procrastinating, avoidance, or just simply ‘coasting’ through life.

We think or say things like:
“I’ll send that email tomorrow when I have more energy.”
“I’m never going to save enough money to take that trip, so I may as well order pizza again.”
“No one wants to be friends or hang out with me anyway, so I’ll just stay home.”

Are you starting to get what I said before, about our thoughts creating our results??

Mhmm… There’s some truth in it, right?
(Actually, a lot of truth. All the truth.)

But you know another truth?!

WE get to choose the thoughts we listen to. WE have the power to reframe our mindset.

✨Resonant Breathing✨

This is a Breathwork technique to quickly bring your body and mind back into balance.

Here’s how it works:

Breathing through your nose, drawing the breath down into the belly, inhale for 5 seconds and exhale for 5 seconds. No pause or hold at the top or bottom.
Start with a goal of 5:5. This is a rate of 6 breaths per minute, which is very healthy breathing.
If you need to start with 4:4, that’s ok too!
And, as you practice, try to work yourself up to 6:6, 8:8, it can even be possible to work up to 30:30. 1 BREATH PER MINUTE!

***Not only does this exercise calm the mind and emotions, it is beneficial for blood pressure, lung health, digestion, and can improve symptoms of many health problems such as COPD, asthma, and IBS when practiced regularly.
