Wow, Saskatchewan, you never fail to sweep us up in a whirlwind! Every time Sarah and I roll into this province, time just slips away like it’s on fast-forward. Fitting in all the visits, ceremonies, and moments with family and friends is always a beautiful challenge.
This trip was extra special. We were so grateful to be invited by our friends, Jenelle and Matt to Sundance on Pheasant Rump FN. Time was tight, so we could only join for one day, but wow, what a powerful experience. Sarah, Vienna, and I offered our flesh and prayed for others, holding space in that sacred ceremony. Having Vienna there with us, diving deeper into her culture, made it even more profound. This was her second Indigenous ceremony with us this year, and I’m beyond thankful for her open heart and openess to learn. Moments like these fill my soul.
The very next day, we had the honor of facilitating a Kambo ceremony for an absolutely incredible woman. Holding space for her courage, strength and release was pure magic … Sarah’s gentle powerful wisdom and love always make these ceremonies a little extra special. 🙏 🐸
In between, we soaked up some quality family time, making memories that’ll stick with us forever. Then, we capped it off with a trip to Craven with Vienna to catch Def Leppard live and do some serious people-watching. I love live music, it’s one of my favorite things in the world. Bumping into old friends, some I haven’t seen in years, was such a gift. Sarah and I were cracking up about the balance in our lives—two days of deep ceremony, then straight into the wild, party vibe of Craven. No alcohol for us (not our thing), but going from sacred spaces to that high-energy scene was such a trip. Gotta love that balance, right?
So much gratitude for this time in Saskatchewan… the connections, the ceremonies, the music, and the love. Now, we’re gearing up in preparation for a 4-day ceremony in Alberta next week. Here we go!!!!
