⭐️ We have some exciting news! ⭐️

After 10 years of being downtown we are moving at the end of July to the Nutana area! Dr. Elash will be joining Dr. Kennedy and Dr. Matiko to provide you with the same level of care in a beautiful new clinic surrounded by a great team of doctors and staff. Did we mention you won’t have to deal with downtown parking anymore?!

We will continue to see patients at the downtown location until mid-July and after July 29th come see Dr. Elash at The Eye Studio! 😎

Last month Dr. Elash joined Dr. Kennedy at and Dr. Yakubowski on another ICEE weekend clinic to provide eye exams to children in the province. The team travelled to La Ronge and saw 93 children, making it back to Saskatoon just before the March blizzard ❄️

OCT or optical coherence tomography allows us to image inside the eye. It allows us to see layers deeper than what is seen on the surface…. similar to an ultrasound.

Here is an OCT of a healthy macula where all the layers of the retina can be seen ✨

OCT is very useful when monitoring conditions like glaucoma or macular degeneration.

Dr. Elash will be away October 28th - November 12th. We will not be running appointments during this time, but will have staff available at the clinic from 10am-3pm on October 31, November 1-2, and November 7-9. If you require eye care during this time please contact our friends at Kennedy Eye Clinic or The Eye Studio by Kennedy Eye Clinic. Dr. Kennedy and her team have made themselves available to assist you should you need to be seen while Dr. Elash is away. We look forward to connecting with you on November 13th after our time away!

In the spring Dr. Elash joined friends and colleagues Dr. Kennedy , Dr. Yakubowski, and a fantastic team of support staff to provide eye care to children in Île-à-la-Crosse. This was the first Indigenous Children Eye Examination remote clinic to run in Saskatchewan. In 1 day the team saw 51 children and prescribed 32 pairs of glasses. For most children this was their first eye exam. Dr. Elash thoroughly enjoyed providing care to the children and meeting members of the community.
