Now Hiring: Relief Cook / Kitchen Support Worker

Abbeyfield House Saskatoon is looking for a casual/on-call Relief Cook to help prepare lunch and dinner for 12 residents in our friendly seniors’ independent living home.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys cooking, working independently, and interacting with seniors in a warm community setting.

Responsibilities include:
• Preparing and serving meals
• Kitchen clean-up and light cleaning
• Supporting a welcoming environment for residents
• Answering the phone and monitoring visitors when needed

Qualifications:
• Experience cooking for groups
• Knowledge of safe food handling and nutrition
• Food Handler Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• Friendly and respectful approach when working with seniors

Casual/on-call position (approx. 8-16 hrs/week).

Thank you to the Federated Co-op Community Investment Fund. They care about our elders and understand how important good nutrition is at any age! By supporting our Nutrition Program they are helping us keep our food costs down and our housing affordable for our elders. Thank you for the $2500 donation for groceries.

Celebrating Indigenous People's day today! Abbeyfield House Saskatoon acknowledges that we live on Treaty 6 Territory and the Homeland of the Métis. Treaty 6 encompasses the traditional lands of the Cree, Dene, Dakota, Nakota, Saulteaux, and Métis Nations. We pay our respect to the First Nations and Métis ancestors of this place and reaffirm our relationship with one another.
