3 years between photos, and a whole lot of consistency in between.

20 years…. That’s how long I struggled with acne. But one of the most important things I have learned through my own struggle and owning a med spa, is consistency is king when it comes to treating acne.

Quitting products, treatments and skincare routines all impact the formation of acne. It can take roughly 90 days for a comedone to form. If you don’t give your treatment plan enough time to get through that initial breakout period, you’ll always be starting from scratch. In fact, in the beginning it will look like your routine isn’t working because you will purge initially.
This is especially true with chemical peels. I LOVE chemical peels for acne, however it’s pretty rare that you’ll ever have complete clearance from one peel. That’s why a series is necessary so we can get through the purging quickly and reveal that beautiful clear skin beneath.
