Dear Family, Residents and Friends of Sunnyside,

This is to let you know that we have residents on Diefenbaker (room #’s in the 300 range) sick with respiratory symptoms. Public Health has put us in a confirmed outbreak (rhinovirus) and isolation has been set up.

We have closed the doors to Diefenbaker neighborhood. If a resident wants to come out of their neighborhood they should wear a mask if possible. All staff, family & friends entering Diefenbaker must wear a medical mask.

Please no more than two visitors at a time to avoid crowding and ensure to use hand sanitizer on the way in and out of Sunnyside.

If you are not feeling well due to any illness, please do not visit until 48 hours after your symptoms are over. If you get sick within a few days after visiting Sunnyside please call our nursing station at 306-653-1267 ext 124 ASAP to let us know so we can monitor your loved one.

Our visiting hours remain the same from 9:00am to 8:00pm seven days a week. Face-time visits are available through our Recreation team. Call them at 306-653-1267 ext 140 to arrange a time and they will set your loved one up with an iPad for your visit.

Public Health has put us in a suspect rhinovirus outbreak because we have one confirmed case in Riverview (Rooms 101 – 125). The resident has been isolated. The only action we are taking at this time is to ask everyone entering Riverview to wear a mask.
