The past month has been a blur of activity and entertainment at Parkridge Centre! We were fortunate to host the always excellent and to top it off, our friends at sent along samples of the "Great Karpunkin" beer that they collaborated on together (and many more!) We enjoyed enjoyed the music, stories of how the creation came about, and of course, the delicious local craft beer! From all of us at PRC, Cheers!!! 🍻

And last but not least, our Queen of Finance, Lisa! And doing the honors, our Resident Council President, Dale. Great fun was had by all (except maybe the ones getting slimed?!) and it was awesome to have a full room of residents and staff cheering them on!

Our Slime fundraiser brought in over $3400 to put towards Therapeutic Recreation programming and a new sound system for the MPR!! Thank you to all who were involved in making this fundraiser such a huge success!

And now.. what we've all been waiting for... SLIME TIME!!! Thanks to Karla, Lisa and Puneet for being such great sports (and bringing in the big bucks 😂)

Thank you to everyone who supported Therapeutic Recreation in our Halloween Slime Fundraiser. We also appreciate everyone who volunteered to be slimed! It was a fight to the end with some HUGE moves! Thanks to a last minute $2000 charitable donation, we raised over $3400!

We will announce our new slime date soon! Watch out, Lisa, Karla, and Puneet 😜 Happy Halloween! 🎃👻

Due to current outbreaks, we have made the decision to postpone the Slime part of our event this week to a date when all Neighbourhoods can join in on the fun. The Halloween social and costume parade will still take place Halloween day at 10 am. Stay tuned for a new slime date!! Tickets will remain on sale until October 30th at noon. New totals available!

Things got heated at Parkridge Centre last week with our Neighborhood Chili Cookoff! Residents of the 6 neighborhoods came together to create and cook their very own special chili recipes for this spicy showdown. The submissions were excellent, and the flights of chili were enjoyed by all... but there can only be one winner, so congratulations to Northridge 2 for taking home this years trophy!
