💚 A year end message of thanks from Emily Hurd, Regional Director, Saskatoon Branch

As we close out 2025, I am filled with gratitude and pride for all that we have accomplished together in Saskatoon and across the province.

This year’s 75th anniversary was a remarkable milestone for SaskAbilities, one that reminded us why our work matters so deeply. For seven and a half decades, our organization has stood alongside children, youth, and adults experiencing disability, ensuring they have the support, opportunities, and community connections they deserve.

Celebrating this milestone with our clients, families, staff, partners, and friends reaffirmed just how strong and compassionate our community truly is and allows us to reflect on the lasting impact of SaskAbilities' founding families.

To our dedicated staff: thank you for the energy, care, and commitment you bring to your work each day. To our clients and their families: thank you for trusting us and for allowing SaskAbilities into parts of your lives. We are grateful. And to our Board of Directors: thank you for your guidance and leadership.

As we look ahead, I am excited for all that 2026 will bring. Together, we will continue building inclusive communities where everyone belongs and has the opportunity to thrive. Here is to the next 75 years!

Wishing you and your loved ones a joyful, safe, and restful holiday season.

Happy Holidays from all of us at SaskAbilities - Saskatoon Branch!

Exciting News! Presenting the third annual Saskatoon Warm Winter Project!

We're thrilled to announce that SaskAbilities’ Saskatoon Branch is participating once again in the Share the Warmth Program, thanks to the incredible support and generosity of SaskEnergy!

With this funding, our Warm Winter Project aims to ensure children and youth from Nutana Collegiate’s Jacoby Centre & Millie’s Early Learning Centre have access to necessary items such as food, personal-care products, and joyful things to make their winter season warmer and brighter.

A sincere thank you to SaskEnergy for making this initiative possible! We're grateful for this opportunity and look forward to making a meaningful difference together.

❄️As the holiday season approaches; a time rooted in generosity, gratitude, and community; SaskAbilities is proud to support the Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre.

Throughout the past month, SaskAbilities’ Saskatoon Branch locations have collected non-perishable food items and essential goods to help address food insecurity in our community. On December 16, SaskAbilities Day Program clients proudly picked up the donations and delivered them to the Food Bank, playing an active role in giving back and supporting neighbours in need.

This initiative reflects the power of inclusion, teamwork, and community spirit. Every item donated; whether a box of cereal, a jar of peanut butter, or a can of soup; helps bring nourishment and hope to individuals and families during the holiday season.

😍Thank you to everyone who contributed and helped make this meaningful community effort possible. Together, we are strengthening our community and sharing the spirit of the season.

💛 Thank You, Saskatchewan!
As SaskAbilities wraps up our 75th anniversary year, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported us - not just in 2025, but over the past 75 years. From clients and families to staff, volunteers, donors, and community partners - your belief in inclusive communities has made all the difference.
This milestone year was filled with unforgettable moments:

• A time capsule burial at Camp Easter Seal
• A seven-part video series sharing impact stories from across SaskAbilities
• Local proclamations across the province
🎉 And to cap it all off - December 2, 2025, was officially proclaimed SaskAbilities Day by the Government of Saskatchewan. What an incredible honour to end the year with!
