September 30 - Truth and Reconciliation Day

Today, we at the College stand together with the Indigenous peoples of Saskatchewan in recognizing National Truth and Reconciliation Day. We encourage all CPSS registrants to participate in this day of awareness by wearing an orange shirt to underscore the tragic legacy of residential schools.

Today and every day, “Every Child Matters”.

We encourage all CPSS registrants to pursue their learning journey by exploring the history, truths, and current realities of Indigenous peoples of Saskatchewan. Resources are available at the link below:

September 17 – World Patient Safety Day

This year’s theme for World Patient Safety Day is paediatric and newborn safety. The World Health Organization calls on all healthcare providers to recognize the unique needs of children and families and to implement strategies for safer care.

In this spirit, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan would like to thank its registrants and the public for continuing to speak up for child safety and work towards making safe care the standard for every child in Saskatchewan.

If you or a patient is concerned about the quality of care a physician is providing, please contact the College for assistance:
