There are many misconceptions about osteoporosis — and some of them can unintentionally hold people back.

Avoiding exercise altogether, fearing resistance training, or believing it’s “too late” to make a difference can reduce confidence and limit progress. In reality, appropriately guided strength training, weight-bearing exercise, and balance work can play an important role in supporting bone health.

Osteoporosis doesn’t mean avoiding movement. It means approaching movement with strategy, progression, and professional guidance.

Living with ongoing aches or stiffness?

Pain is rarely influenced by movement alone. Inflammation, stress, sleep quality, hydration, and nutrition can all shape how your body feels from day to day.

While physiotherapy supports strength, mobility, and tissue healing, small and sustainable habits outside the clinic can also play an important role. Balanced meals, consistent hydration, regular movement, and restorative sleep often work together to support recovery.

It’s rarely about extremes or quick fixes. More often, it’s about steady, supportive changes over time.

Our whole body approach and specialized expertise in physiotherapy, yoga, chiropractic, and TCM acupuncture to help you to become healthy and whole. Combining skills and philosophies from eastern and western traditions, we are committed to providing physical therapy and yoga to individuals and groups who have typically not had access to such services. Core to our beliefs is that yoga is for everyone, and everyone deserves to live and move free of pain. Founded by Adrianne Vangool, Vangool Wellness is all about giving people the tools to live better and do the things that are important to them, and making physiotherapy and yoga accessible to all.
