Looking to get outside and move a little more this season? 🌿

Saskatoon offers a variety of walking trails for every level — whether it’s a relaxed stroll along the river or a more challenging hike through natural terrain.

Starting with routes that match your current comfort level can help you stay consistent, reduce strain, and build confidence over time. Even short, regular walks can support mobility, endurance, and overall well-being.

As your body adapts, gradually exploring more varied terrain can be a great way to build strength and resilience.

Movement doesn’t have to be intense to be meaningful — it just has to be consistent.

For kids, movement is more than exercise — it’s how they play, connect, and grow. 🤍

Pediatric physiotherapy focuses on helping children return to the activities that matter to them — whether that’s sports, time with friends, or simply feeling confident in their bodies again.

Every child’s goals are different. That’s why care is guided by what’s meaningful to them, with a focus on building strength, coordination, and confidence along the way.

Supporting movement early can make a lasting difference in how children participate in the things they enjoy — now and as they grow. 🌿

Pregnancy comes with a lot of unexpected changes… and yes, that includes the not-so-glamorous ones like “lightening crotch” ⚡️

That sudden, sharp pain in the front of your pelvis? It could be related to Symphysis P***s Dysfunction (SPD)—a common condition during pregnancy caused by increased pressure, posture, and changes in how your muscles support your pelvis.

The good news? It’s manageable—and physio can help you stay active and comfortable

May is National Physiotherapy Month 🤍

Physiotherapy is often associated with pain — but its impact goes beyond that.

It’s about how you move, how you feel in your body, and how you show up in your day-to-day life.

It can support:
• Moving with more ease
• Building strength and confidence
• Returning to activities that matter
• Understanding your body more clearly

Change doesn’t always happen all at once — it often builds gradually, through guidance, consistency, and support.

This month is a reminder that caring for your body isn’t just about reducing discomfort — it’s about supporting how you live, move, and feel over time. 🌿

Shoulder pain when lifting your arm?

The rotator cuff plays an important role in how the shoulder moves and stays supported. When this group of muscles becomes irritated or overloaded, even simple movements can feel uncomfortable or restricted.

Rather than focusing on pain alone, physiotherapy looks at how the shoulder is functioning as a whole — including strength, coordination, and movement patterns.

Support may include:
• Gradually restoring strength
• Improving movement control
• Reducing irritation
• Supporting a return to daily activities

With time and a guided approach, many shoulder concerns improve.

If movement has been feeling limited or uncomfortable, it may be worth exploring what’s contributing.

Change doesn’t always come from doing more — often, it begins with doing something small, consistently.

A few minutes of movement, gentle stretching, or simply noticing how the body feels can begin to shift patterns over time.

Discomfort and stiffness often build gradually. In the same way, improvement is usually a gradual process — shaped by small, repeated actions.

Consistency tends to have a greater impact than intensity.

If the body has been feeling tight or restricted, it may be an opportunity to start with simple, manageable steps and build from there. 🌿

Recovery is rarely just one piece.

It often involves a combination of approaches — each supporting a different part of the process. Some may help reduce discomfort, others support movement, while others build strength and longer-term resilience.

What matters most is how these pieces come together.
Care is not based on a single method, but on how the body responds over time. Adjustments are made along the way to support steady, meaningful progress.

At Vangool Wellness, physiotherapy is guided by the whole picture — not just one area, one technique, or one moment in time.
