Leanne has owned this small but mighty pharmacy in Sutherland for 10 years. It isn’t a pharmacy inside a big store or a shop with a pharmacy tucked in... it is a pharmacy. The kind where she knows her customers by name, and where community is truly at the heart of the work.
Her support of Sanctum Care Group isn’t random, it reflects her mission. The Medicine Shoppe on Central works closely with Dr. Markentin and Sanctum's methadone recovery program. Leanne sees every day that addiction does not discriminate. She also sees the power of judgment-free care, and how vital it is in helping people find stability, recovery, and their place in the community.
Leanne, thank you for believing in this work and for helping make Saskatoon a place where everyone feels supported and welcome. 🥹
