I'm redefining what self care truly means to me. And.. it's not about a yoga class, or a bath.. it is about intention. Learning to protect my energy, speak my truth and go for what I want.
I was uncomfortable. Told I'm too much of a dreamer. And unhappy with my lack of presence for myself, my son & my friends.
Self care to me now.. is learning how to ground myself. Is practicing being more present. Is being aware of when I reach for that beer out of habit or agitation, and maybe choosing differently. Self care is being true to myself, doing the hard inner work, and coming back to my breath when i catch myself in a overstimulated state.
In a world with technology and always being connected and available.. we are severely "disconnected".
Doing all the "self-care" things not working? Maybe, that's not the problem.. maybe you are like me and became so disconnected from who I truly am. "DOING" alot.. but not just Being"..
As I've heard.. we have become human-doers, instead of human beings.. and then wonder why we feel like we are in a race and can't catch up.
I'm launching a coaching program in the new year, and want to help you get unstuck. Off the hamster wheel of procrastination, exhaustion and lack of clarity, to creating a plan to start living more in alignment with your purpose and values. It is uncomfortable, it is raw, it is growth.. but if you feel burntout, feel disconnected and out of balance.. the typical known "self-care" alone, will only go so far.
You have been doing it. Trying it. And even after the day off, the yoga class, the massage..
You feel more relaxed.. but autopilot kicks back in.. you still feel drained, disconnect and find it difficult to be truly present in what you do.

What you have been doing, hasn't been working.. and there is no shame or failure in that. Sometimes we just need to try something different. We need to commit. We need to be willing to Go ALL in for ourselves, not just surface level self-care, but transformational shifts that help overcome the stories and blocks that are really holding you back.
2026 doesn't have to feel the same as 2025 if you don't want it to.
