While waiting for a transplant it’s like your life is on hold. A transplant is a new beginning and a restart. Words cannot describe how amazing it would be to have a life free of Dialsys again. All it takes is one generous, courageous person to give me the gift of a new life 💚💚.

💚 A WISH I MAKE EVERY DAY…
A wish for a kidney donor.
A wish for a second chance.
A wish for life.

After 7 years on dialysis, I’m still holding onto hope.
If you feel called to help, or even just want to learn more, please reach out.
You could be the miracle that changes everything. 🙏✨

📞 Transplant Coordinator: 306-766-6475

Part of my treatment is that they monitor different things with yearly testing. Currently I have my yearly ECG. The reason they do yearly ECG’s is because:

Dialysis puts extra strain on the heart. Yearly ECGs help:
• Catch heart rhythm problems early
• Monitor effects of electrolyte shifts (like potassium)
• Check for silent heart issues with no symptoms
• Keep you safe and transplant-ready

It’s a simple test that can spot problems before they become serious. 💙

This is anotger reason why a transplant is important because dialsys is hard on the body in many different ways.💚💚

What Potential donors can expect to go through:

🩸 Blood tests
– Blood type, kidney function, and special matching tests

💧 Urine tests
– A 24-hour check to make sure their kidneys are strong and healthy

🖥️ Imaging
– Usually a CT scan to look at the kidneys and choose the safest one for donation

❤️ Heart & health checks
– EKG, chest X-ray, and general screening to make sure surgery is safe

🦠 Infection & cancer screening
– Routine tests based on age and medical guidelines

🧑‍⚕️ Meetings with specialists
– Kidney doctor, surgeon, social worker, and a donor advocate who is there only for the donor

Every step is designed to keep donors safe and make sure they are truly ready.
Living kidney donors are real-life heroes, and the medical system works hard to protect them. 💚

I go to Dialsys 3x a week.

Teusday
Thursday
Saturday

The one day between teusday and Thursday and Thursday and Saturday isn’t bad for fluid retention.

But the 2 days between appointments going Saturday morning and then not again till Tuesday night again can be difficult. Sometimes I can get very bloated even trying to sleep is hard. Sometimes I wake up during the night panicking because having a hard time breathing. It is not a fun experience. It doesn’t happen always but when it does it sucks.

There are more ways then you can imagne that a living kidney donor will change my life
for the better. 💚💚💚💚
