This weekend marks the first anniversary of Stokely Creek Naturals!
Looking back has given me a great sense of how far this little company, this passion of mine, has come, how much it has grown in such a short time, and certainly how much I’ve learned. The things I got right, the things I got wrong. Course corrections. Managed expectations. It’s an important milestone for me. I survived this first year!
There’s going to be some changes coming soon. I’m always thinking, planning, focusing on ways to keep costs low, but quality the best. Some minor things; tweaking formulas, some new products, some packaging changes. Some bigger things; some new retail locations and suppliers, finding efficiencies, battling inflation. But still, always, focusing on learning, improving, helping people, and building and supporting “local”.
Here’s the really important stuff:
I haven’t done this alone. To the local businesses that have brought my products into their domains; to the groups and organizations that have put on vendor shows, and provided the opportunity to showcase my brand; and obviously, to my customers, the new ones and the ones that keep coming back … my business would be nowhere without you. I appreciate your support, and your trust. To my friends and family, my amazing and beautiful daughters, my unfailingly patient and supportive husband … I couldn’t do this without you in my corner, giving me the inspiration and confidence to push forward when those doubts creep in, and the help with the every day little things that would overwhelm me without you.
I don’t say it enough, but I’m always thinking it … I am truly blessed, and very grateful. Thank you all for an amazing year, and helping me bring my passion to life!
