So what exactly do chiropractors treat?

Although treating neck and back pain are the most common injuries I see, I also treat many other conditions!

Some other common conditions I see weekly:
- jaw pain
- tension headaches
- plantar fasciitis
- hip pain (bursitis, arthritis etc.)
- ankle sprains
- hamstring strains
- glute medius weakness ** see my Case Study on runners in my previous post
- shoulder impingement
- thoracic outlet syndrome

TMJ dysfunction AKA jaw pain ‼️

Your TMJ (temporomandibular joint) is the hinge that connects your jaw to your skull — it’s what lets you talk, chew, yawn, and laugh. TMJ dysfunction happens when that joint or the muscles around it get irritated, tight, or out of sync.

Common signs you might feel:
• Jaw clicking or popping
• Pain with chewing or talking
• Headaches or ear pain
• Jaw feeling “stuck” or tight
• Clenching or grinding

TMJ issues can come from things like stress, posture, muscle tension, or even how your teeth align. The good news? With the right treatment (chiro, acupuncture, exercises, posture + stress support), most people get so much relief.

Get to know Maddy, RKin✨

Fun facts about Maddy is she golfed for the University of Western Ontario golf team, she loves to bake, read and she loves movement!

She is offering private one on one kinesiology sessions. In these sessions you can work on strength training specific to you whether it is balance, injury rehab or just learning proper lifting techniques.

Please Welcome, Madison 💪🏻

Madison is a Registered Kinesiologist in good standing with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario and a member of the Ontario Kinesiology Association since January 2025. She graduated from the University of Western Ontario in the spring of 2024 with an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Kinesiology, accompanied by a Minor in Rehabilitation Sciences. She is currently studying to obtain her Diploma in Fitness and Health Promotions through Algonquin College.

Madison has always been fascinated with the human body and how it works to move and carry us through day-to-day life. She grew up playing competitive and recreational golf and assisted with teaching junior camps and a specialized neuro-physio golf program.

She will help educate patients on rehabilitative exercises, injury prevention, and how to get back to doing what they love with personalized and evidence-based approaches.

Madison will be starting to offer Kinesiology appointments in the form of 1-on-1 and group classes beginning on November 4th! Her first group class will focus on balance and fall prevention 🙂

Did you know that we offer virtual appointments for Pilates + Chiropractic?

How it works 👇🏻
• Book an initial virtual consultation by calling the office
• We will do a history and functional examination —> This will allow us to determine a diagnosis and create a treatment plan to help meet your goals!
• If you are an existing patient you can book a virtual follow up appointment by calling the office
• Virtual chiropractic treatments will include demonstrating stretches and rehab exercises, reviewing at home care such as ergonomics set up or how to use modalities at home.
• Pilates appointments will include instructing you through a 30,45 or 60 minute session.
• This is a good option for people who do not live in the Sault, who are travelling or who just need a quick reminder of rehab exercises they should be doing at home!
• All virtual appointments are done through our EHR, JaneApp which is privacy compliant!
