Waitlist open 🤍 I am a Registered Social Worker in Sault Ste. Marie, with over fifteen years’ experience in mental health, medical and rehabilitation sectors. I am passionate about the areas of traumatic brain injury, chronic illness and injury, and disability; the impact of stress on well-being; chronic pain; trauma; and adjustment. I have worked in both public and private sectors and take a biopsychosocial and individualized approach working with clients. I have training, education and interest in the modalities of cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, trauma-informed practice and compassionate inquiry. In addition to offering fee-for-service therapy to adults (which is often covered by private group benefits!), I am a registered provider with Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) and Health Claims for Auto Insurance (HCAI) through Abilities Rehabilitation. I am also providing Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy at a local clinic in Sault Ste. Marie.

Sometimes, when our needs are not met throughout our lives, we have difficulty meeting our own needs later on. We can hyper fixate on keeping others happy; find ourselves numb or disconnected to our own emotional experiences; and get into patterns of people-pleasing and taking on responsibilities that were never ours. This can lead to shame, low self-worth and difficulty connecting within ourselves. Fortunately, there are ways to untangle some of these patterns to begin healing and coming back to yourself!

✨ DAY THREE ✨ We often put our health needs on hold as life gets busy. So today is all about focusing on what you need to feel healthy, strong and at peace within your body! 🌱 DAY TWO 🌱 Reflecting on personal growth and overcoming challenges can be a helpful part of recognizing how far you have come. This year, I’m trying to do things that I have been wanting to do, but have been nervous to try, as they might be difficult. So one of these for me is starting boxing 🥊 though being very nervous to begin, I am loving it! I will also try to bring some heightened awareness to everyday tasks like drinking my coffee (by really paying attention to the temperature, smell and taste) or walking Jersey 🐶 (by listening to the clippy cloppy of her paws on the pavement and taking in the nature around me). What’s your plan for
