Such a great course facilitating a shift towards a more neurological lens on bullying rather than the behavioural strategies that just don't seem to be working for us.

LAST CHANCE! Reframing Bullying starts tomorrow: https://self-reg.ca/reframing-bullying/ 🎒

Here's what you'll learn:
🍎 Develop a profound understanding of the roots and dynamics of bullying behavior in children and youth.
🔎 Understand the neurobiological underpinnings of aggression in youth, connecting it to bullying behaviours.
🍎 Explore the Bullying Cycle deeply and develop targeted intervention strategies.
🔎 Learn the transformative power of the CARE System–a primitive emotion circuit in the subcortical brain.
🍎 Use the Self-Reg framework to plan for a refreshed approach to the longstanding problem of bullying in schools and communities. Consider, as part of a holistic lens on reducing bullying in schools;

What is the Safe and Sound program, you ask?
It is a fun and imaginative way of learning how child likes to communicate and how you can help to encourage stronger parent/child bonds.

How does it work?
Sarah Skagen does the music and does the therapy. When you team up and combine skill sets to get the job done, everyone benefits!

A great opportunity!

🎶🎵Not all music classes are created equal🎵🎶

When I created I Can Music, I wasn’t just trying to entertain children for 45 minutes, although that's a really cool bonus 😎

I wanted to build something our community actually needed. I wanted a space where children's safety and wellness was prioritized. (That's why if you request it, I'll gladly produce a current Criminal Record Check for anyone who will be supervising your child anytime)

I wanted an immersive space for imaginative play where
📢 Sound supports speech
🥁 Rhythm supports regulation
🌈 Expression builds confidence
🧐 Children feel seen

Every activity in our sessions is intentional. Nothing is filler (whether it seems that way or not) Intrinsic motivation is important for children's development and wellness and we allow everyone to learn at their own pace.

Spring I Can Music cohort placements are now open and we hope you are as excited to work with us as we are with you! 😉🥰

We use a relationship-based approach to psychotherapy. What this means is that we use evidence-based practices grounded in science to use relationships as the foundation of support. In this video, we see the science of resonance. When we adjust our approach to meet the needs of an individual (we all have our own 'frequencies'), we impact the world and people around us. When we resonate together, we build safety, connection, and joy. When we resonate together, we springboard into so many areas of growth and development naturally.
