Today we’re celebrating the families we have the honour of walking alongside every single day. The parents doing their best. The kids learning and growing. The caregivers showing up with love, even on the hard days.

At Strong Minds, we don’t just provide services — we build relationships, create safe spaces, and support the whole family through life’s seasons. It is truly a privilege to care for, guide, and empower the families in our community.

April 3rd we celebrate World Autism Acceptance Day surrounded by the people who make our community stronger every single day — our families, friends, community partners, educators, and advocates.

This evening is all about coming together in the spirit of acceptance, understanding, and belonging. 💙

We’re sharing dinner, enjoying music, and adding a little extra joy with face painting for everyone — because celebration should be fun, inclusive, and welcoming for all ages.

This is not a fundraiser.
This is a celebration.

A celebration of neurodiversity.
A celebration of connection.
A celebration of the incredible individuals and families who make our community what it is.

Thank you to everyone who shows up, supports, learns, and grows alongside us. Together, we create a community where everyone feels valued, respected, and accepted — not just today, but every day.

Tomorrow we start our 12 week countdown to the 9th Annual Run for Change!

Join us weekly for our Prep for Change series, where every week we’ll post a running workout to follow that week that will turn you from a non-runner to running the entire 5k during Run for Change on May 9th.

🏃‍♀️Week One: 25 Minutes, 3x this week
0:00-5:00 - Walk
5:01-5:30 - Run
5:31-7:30 - Walk
7:31-8:00 - Run
Continue alternating walking for 2 minutes and running for 30 seconds up until the 25 minute mark.

Post a story, reel, or post of you with the hashtag as we get in gear over the next 12 weeks!

Run for Change isn’t just a run—it’s a movement.
And this year, we’re preparing with intention, connection, and purpose.

Starting February 14 and running through May 2, 2026, Strong Minds will be offering a 12-week guided prep program to support you mentally, physically, and emotionally as you get ready for Run for Change.

This year, our CEO will be following this prep guide alongside the community, showing up for the process just as much as the outcome.

Fun fact: Venessa was Strong Minds’ very first employee, making this experience extra meaningful as we come full circle—growing, moving, and showing up together for a cause that matters.

This guide is for all levels—whether you’re running, walking, or participating in your own way. Expect:

Strong Minds is proud to host the 9th Annual Run for Change, a community movement dedicated to raising awareness around mental health and addictions. 🧠💚 This event is deeply meaningful to our CEO and reflects Strong Minds’ continued commitment to advocating for mental health, reducing stigma, and supporting individuals and families in our community.

Run for Change has always been about coming together with purpose 🤝 — creating space for connection, conversation, and collective impact, and reminding us that mental health matters just as much as physical health. 💭💪 There will be an after party 🎉 following the run, with details to be announced at a later date.
