Continuing a tradition that began many years ago when Mr. Kiteley and Bruce Cooke delivered college presentations at Humber College and Collège Boréal, we have proudly carried their legacy forward.

Over the years, we expanded these educational talks to include elementary schools, high schools, various Sault College programs and most recently, the third-year nursing program at Sault College.

Sharing our knowledge, experience, and compassion for funeral services is a meaningful way to honour their contributions and help students understand how this important work connects to their studies and future professions.

On the longest night of the year, families in our community will come together to find warmth, hope, and healing at the 29th Annual Tree Lighting Memorial, hosted by Arthur Funeral Home –Barton & Kiteley Chapel.

This cherished tradition takes place every year on the Winter Solstice, a night that symbolizes the start of a new season, the promise of more daylight, and the gentle reminder that brighter days do return. It offers a meaningful space to honour and remember loved ones during a time of year that can feel especially heavy.

This year’s service will be held on December 21 in our event space at 492 Wellington Street East.

Doors open at 6:30 PM, and the service begins at 7 PM.

Although the ornament order deadline has passed, everyone is warmly welcomed to attend. All proceeds from previously ordered ornaments will support Every Breakfast Counts Program, helping families in need.

We look forward to an evening filled with music, light refreshments, and a peaceful atmosphere where families can gather, remember, and feel supported.
