Last March, our lives, and the lives of everyone around the world, were forever changed by the emergence of COVID-19. Today β one year after the first known death of a Canadian to the disease β we now mourn the tragic loss of more than 22,000 parents, siblings, friends, and loved ones.πππ½
The Government of Canada is dedicating Today March 11, 2021, as a National Day of Observance. Frontline workers are asking everyone to light a candle in memory of those we have lost and the people they left behind. π―β¨
We are forever saddened by all the lives lost in this global pandemic. As we continue to combat through this pandemic, we would like to thank every single health care and frontline worker for putting themselves at risk by continuing to work hard and make incredible sacrifices in our fight against the virus. Together, we will beat COVID-19. βπ½β€οΈ
