Important Update: Evening Urgent Care Clinic Days Changing

We wish to inform you of an upcoming change to our Evening Urgent Care Clinic schedule at Sharbot Lake Family Health Team.

What’s Changing?
New Schedule (Starting July 8th, 2025):
Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
This means that starting the week of July 8th, our evening clinic will move from Mondays to Tuesdays, while continuing on Wednesdays as usual.

What Does This Mean For You?
If you require urgent care services in the evening, please plan to visit on Tuesdays or Wednesdays from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, starting July 8th.

There is no change to our regular daytime clinic hours.

Important Update: Location Change for Dr. Bell’s Retirement Celebration

Dear Patients and Community Members,

This is a friendly reminder that we will be celebrating Dr. Peter Bell’s retirement tomorrow, Friday, June 27th, honouring his remarkable 54 years of service to our community.

Updated Location Due to Weather:
Because of the forecasted heavy rain and thunderstorms tomorrow afternoon and early evening, the celebration will now take place at:

St. James Major Catholic Church Hall (Basement)
14608 Hwy 38, Sharbot Lake

Event Time:
4:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Join us for lemonade, cookies, and an opportunity to say farewell to someone who has made a lasting impact on our lives and our community.

We will do our best to accommodate everyone, though seating may be limited — thank you for your understanding and patience.

Parking Note:

At the end of June, after more than five decades of service, Dr. Peter Bell will be retiring from his practice in Sharbot Lake. Since 1971, Dr. Bell has served this community with deep compassion, skill, and kindness—and now it’s time to celebrate his extraordinary legacy together.

REMINDER: Tomorrow (Wednesday, May 21st) is the Maltby Mental Health Walk-In Clinic at the Sharbot Lake Family Health Team.

Martha offers FREE, solution-focused counselling sessions to:
-children, youth, young adults up to age 24
-parents/caregivers and families

No appointment is necessary, just walk in and register at reception.

You do not need to be a patient of the Sharbot Lake Family Health Team or Maltby Centre to access this service.

This is an excellent way to obtain timely and local Mental Health support!
