The future of the Re-Use Centre depends on volunteers 🤝♻️ The Re-Use Centre helps keep usable items out of the landfill and gives them a second life in the community — but it only works because of volunteers who give a few hours of their time.

Right now, we don't have enough volunteers to keep the Re-Use Centre operating beyond May. Without additional support from the community, the facility will need to close for the remainder of the season.

If you care about waste reduction, sustainability, and community, we’d love to hear from you.

JOIN OUR TEAM…

While we’re getting close to summer and the majority of our staff have been hired, plans change and spots open up. We had a spot open up in our Program Staff for a female staff (16 and older) to join the team for the full summer.

We also have spots for single weeks as some weeks have higher registration than others.

For single weeks we are looking for the following:

Kids Camp I (July 12-18) - 2 Female (16+)
Kids Camp III (August 9-15) - 5 Female (16+)
Youth Camp (July 19-25) - Male or Female (18+)

Looking for paid or volunteer staff for these additional weeks. Serving one week is a great way to stay involved at SLWC while maintaining other commitments over the summer.
