Lulu likes to sneak bites of food off the dinner table. Sometimes, this leads her to have an upset stomach, vomit and lose interest in her own food. If this sounds like your dog, it could be a sign of gastrointestinal distress and may require a diet with a lower fat content. Be sure to contact us for an assessment and possible treatment plan. https://pbxx.it/jbEoBW

🚨 Kennel Cough Alert! 🐾

Got a dog? Watch for a harsh, hacking “goose honk” cough, sneezing, runny nose, or lethargy—these are signs of kennel cough (canine infectious tracheobronchitis), caused by Bordetella bronchiseptica bacteria and viruses like canine parainfluenza and canine adenovirus. Kennel Cough is spread by airborne droplets, shared items, or close contact with other dogs who are contagious (kennels, doggy daycare, parks).

Quick tips:

✅ Call your vet for guidance

🛏️ Rest & hydration

🐕 Harness > collar to protect the throat

🚫 Keep your pup away from other dogs until fully recovered

Prevention:

💉 Vaccinate, especially for daycare or boarding dogs

🐾 Limit exposure to crowded dog areas

Stay safe and keep tails wagging! 💛

Did you know that certain breeds are more prone to heart conditions?

Take Mystik, for example — as a Sphynx cat, she has a higher risk of developing HCM (Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy). That’s why she came in for her annual heart check-up — and we’re happy to report she’s doing great! 💗🐾

We’re lucky to have Dr. Bruno Boutet, a board-certified veterinary cardiologist, at our clinic every Wednesday and Friday to perform cardiac consultations and echocardiograms.

Wondering if your pet could benefit from a heart screening? Talk to your veterinarian, and we’ll be happy to help you book an appointment!

Bonus: For our more nervous feline friends, we offer tasty “licky tube” treats during their ultrasound to help keep them calm and comfortable. 🐱💕
