"Roll Into Your Down Dog: A Myofascial Release Workshop"

Think your Downward Dog couldn’t possibly feel better? Think again.

In this feel-good, fascia-loving workshop, we’re rolling out the tension—literally—with massage balls (provided for you!) to help release tight spots in the feet, calves, hamstrings, and shoulders. Whether you’re a seasoned yogi or just here for the savasana, you’ll learn how to use myofascial release techniques to bring new ease, length, and lightness to your practice.

What to expect:: Guided Downward Facing Dog: Targeted rolling using massage balls (no foam rollers, no problem!): Simple, repeatable self-massage techniques: Lots of “oh wow, I didn’t know that was tight” moments: Good vibes, supported props, and zero pressure to be bendy

All props—including the magical massage balls—are provided. Just bring yourself, your mat, and a willingness to let go (of tension and maybe a few groans of relief).

Let’s roll, release, and rediscover your favourite pose from the ground up.

Think chair yoga is just gentle stretching? Think again.

We’re using the chair to go deeper — not easier.

With the chair as our prop, we’re holding poses longer, finding better alignment, and exploring shapes you might not expect (hello, backbends and lunges). It’s a whole new way to understand your body and your practice — with zero fear of face-planting.

This isn’t your grandma’s chair yoga (but she’s totally welcome if she’s into long holds and deep dives).

Spots are limited — only 7 students per class in the yurt.

For me, yoga class—whether I'm teaching or practicing—is about learning, connecting, and yes, sometimes chatting and breaking down poses. It's a space to play with our shapes, to explore, and to grow.

Class can be part of our practice, but more importantly, it gives us tools to support the broader, lifelong work of yoga. Because our true practice happens both on and off the mat, in and out of the studio—and it’s often ongoing, difficult, and beautifully messy.

So, join me this summer on Saturday mornings for Flow and Explore, a class designed to give you the tools for your personal practice.

We’ll begin with a grounding slow flow, then take time to break down and play with a specific shape—exploring alignment, variations, and how it feels in your body.

And we're back with our Surya Namaskar practice on Wednesday mornings!

So why not join me for a Surya Namaskara practice Wednesday mornings at 7:30 in The Yoga Room in Shelburne. We practice up to 12 rounds (24 salutes), while chanting the mantras, but you do you. Give yourself permission to pause, to breath, to rest.

Please note that this is a practice, not a taught class. We learn as we go
