We have received many questions about how to book your annual COVID-19 and Flu shots this fall.

The short answer? Your pharmacist does not know.

This is the first time ever since I graduated from the University of Alberta Faculty of Pharmacy (in the late 1900's) that I do not have the information I need to guide my patients.

Your pharmacist is the most accessed and accessible primary healthcare professional. Yet, we have been kept out of the loop on matters that will affect our most vulnerable patients.

The most recent cut backs such as reduced funding for chronic disease management (eg. Diabetes) and increased copays for Seniors were implemented with a sledge hammer without any consultation with The Alberta Pharmacists' Association - RxA .

This means it will be up to you, the public, to voice your concerns. I am sharing a link to help you have a voice.
