Masking mandatory in the City of Edmonton in all public spaces including locally owned businesses. Beginning Friday September 3rd. Thank you again for your continued understanding and cooperation.

The Massage Therapist Association of Alberta has now received confirmation from AHS who has now lifted all practice restrictions. This includes masking for treatment and no longer having to adhere to the Covid-19 infection prevention and control manual for massage therapist in Alberta. The college and association of acupuncturists of Alberta has yet to receive word from Alberta health as to restriction changes.

We have decided that masking in the treatment room will be "optional" meaning that it is your choice if you choose to wear a mask or if you choose to not wear a mask for your treatment. Therapists will also be deciding for themselves if they choose to wear a mask. You can also request that the therapist mask for the duration of your treatment as well. We will be doing our best to accommodate everyone! Please have a mask with you still as Ellwood Commercial Business Centre is at this time requiring anyone entering the building to mask while in shared spaces. Screenings and temperature takings will no longer be in place. It is also up to you if upon arrival you choose to wait in your vehicle or come into the building based upon your own comfortability.

Please continue to not come in when feeling sick, or if you are experiencing any Covid-19 like symptoms, to keep everyone as safe as possible. As well if you are travelling outside of Canada please do not book an appointment until your quarantine is complete based upon provincial guidelines. Also if you have been a close contact with a positive case please continue to follow provincial guidelines.

As usual we will continue to follow the guidelines outlined in the massage therapist standards of practice manual when treating patients and working in the clinic. Therefore the same level of sanitization and disinfection will continue.
