Major upgrade for RHA! 🥳 We've secured a 10-year lease at Bedford Manor, offering accessible, individual living spaces and fantastic community access in Sherwood Park. Huge thanks to Ron Wai of MINT Health and Drugs who connected us with Christenson Communities!

In this video, you will meet just a few of the individuals & families impacted by this move, and hear from our Chief Service Officer, Ben King, who will share more about what this means for RHA and the people we support.

This strategic move, opening Summer 2025, also means we'll close one rented home and sell three existing properties to fund vital repairs for the RHA Broadway improvements through The Empowerment Project! This is a huge win for our residents and facilities, and we can’t wait to see what the future brings.

Project Update: The Empowerment Project is in Motion!

Thanks to your generous support, real progress is being made at RHA Broadway. EMCEE Construction is currently repairing water damage to protect the building’s structural integrity—an essential step toward a stronger future.

Next up: energy-efficient windows and a fully insulated exterior will make the space more comfortable, sustainable, and cost-effective—allowing RHA to continue delivering vital programs to our community.

But we’re far from finished. Still ahead are new doors, a sloped roof, upgraded fencing, and refreshed flooring at RHA Broadway. At the same time, we’re working toward an ambitious—but critical—fundraising goal: $4 million over three years. This goal will not only help complete the work at RHA Broadway, but also sustain the annual funding needed for ongoing program enhancements and much-needed repairs across all RHA facilities and homes.

Thanks to your generosity, we’ve already raised $337,223.41—an incredible milestone. But we need your continued support to keep the momentum going.

What a day. What an event. What a community!

Sledge Hockey Day 2025 brought the action, the emotion, and the impact—with unforgettable moments from the opening ceremony to the final buzzer. Whether it was former Oiler Ladislav Smid in a sled, Hood Rush athletes channeling their inner NHL star, Team Canada Para Hockey athletes kicking things off with a skills session, or the spirited matchups on the ice, it all came together to celebrate what matters most: teamwork, community spirit and the power of inclusion.

And here’s the best part: we netted $63,075.87 (after expenses!) to support The Empowerment Project, helping revitalize RHA Broadway and sustain vital programs across all our facilities and homes.

To everyone who played, cheered, volunteered, sponsored, or donated—this highlight reel is for you.

You made this day possible, and you’re helping build a stronger future for the people we serve.

Robin Hood Association is currently accepting applications and nominations for our Board of Directors. Our Board plays a vital role in guiding the organization’s strategic direction and helping us deliver essential programs and services to over 750 individuals and their families.
