⛄️The cold (ish) and dry weather is here & every single one of my facial and makeup clients is dry!

They all have the same questions for me as well, so here are a few tips on how to combat the dryness.

🍁❄️ Switch out your moisturizer like you switch out your seasons clothes! Summertime calls for a higher water to oil ratio moisturizer that says “gel”, “oil free” and “lightweight” & during colder months you can use moisturizers with a higher oil ratio- you’ll see words like “intensive”, “hydrating”, “nourishing”.

💧♨️ Turn your shower to luke warm if you’re lazy (efficient*) like me.

💫 Exfoliate! Get yourself a nice at home manual scrub that you can use a couple times a week. I love Daily Microfoliant.

✨Book in for a chemical peel, microdermabrasion or regular facial to get a targeted treatment for your skin & replenish lost moisture. If you don’t know what to book in for, ask me! 🫶🏼

💧Product order: cleanse, exfoliate/actives, serums, moisturizer, oil or occlusive product (Vaseline or aquaphor). Be careful to not occlude active products like AHA, BHA or Vit A/Retinols.

💥If you have rosacea or excessive redness, IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is for you!

✨IPL helps to alleviate redness, inflammation, and uneven skin tone and texture caused by rosacea.

🫧These are results after one IPL treatment, three months apart. As you can see her redness has diminished greatly and her overall tone and texture is more even!

Winter is the best time to start treatments since there’s no more sunbathing 🙅🏼‍♀️🌞

You can expect to feel a hot snapping sensation during the treatment & will likely be red and a bit swollen afterwards. By the next day, both of these will diminish & you’re able to wear makeup and resume normal activities!✨
