I have clinical experience in both hospital and private practice settings. I've had the opportunity to work with various populations and conditions including: cancer survivors, chronic pain, seniors, MVA's, WCB's, surgical candidates, vestibular dysfunctions, and athletes.

This modality compliments our Physiotherapy sessions, it is NOT a standalone treatment! Which is why we don't charge extra for it. Our Physiotherapists will assess your condition and let you know if shockwave is appropriate in your case.

Have you been to a physio clinic where all of the beds are lined up in an open room, with just a curtain separating you and the next person? One common reason for that design is to optimize revenue-generating space (more beds= more clients). It also makes it easier for a clinician to jump between multiple clients. 🛏🏃🏻‍♀️🛏🏃🏻‍♀️🛏🏃🏻‍♀️🛏

Unfortunately, many people do not feel comfortable sharing their medical information in these settings. It also puts clients in a vulnerable position if they have to disrobe for treatment. 👟There are so many running shoes on the market these days, so how do you know what's best for you? Well, that depends on your current/previous injuries, your running mechanics, and training goals.

🏃‍♂️There's a scoring system called the 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗲𝘅 that looks at multiple features of a shoe: flexibility, stack height, weight, heel-to-toe drop, stability, and motion control technologies. These features will influence your running biomechanics and should be considered if you are starting a new running program, recovering from an injury, or training for your next race.

🚴‍♀️The risk of a concussion is much higher if you fall and you're NOT wearing a helmet. So please strap on that helmet on your next bike ride! And this doesn't just apply to the kiddos out there! Adults, grandparents, pets... 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙬𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙖 𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙢𝙚𝙩!
